We gather on Tuesday 7 June at 7.15pm for our AGM, this time with a twist.
The evening will be dedicated to our Champions who work to connect the efforts of local churches in key areas of ministry. You’ll be able to meet them and engage with each area including our work with Refugees, Business, Prayer, Chaplaincy, Homelessness, Climate Justice and Disadvantaged Families. You’ll also be able to chat to Nigel Hemming who leads Churches Together in Winchester and find out more about our vision for our communications work.
The work of our Champions is a key area of the future development of Churches Together and something we feel God has called us to develop. You can find out more about them on the Champions pages of our website.
The evening will begin at 7.15pm and be held at Christ Church in Winchester. Full details can be found in the downloadable flyer/invitation above or at the bottom of the page.
As part of the evening, we’ll also gather together for 15 minutes to hear about what’s going on and what the future holds for Churches Together.
There is something special when we gather together as Churches across the city. Thomas Merton put it like this:
“The deepest level of communication is not communication, but communion. It is wordless … beyond speech … beyond concept”
We gather so that we might be the Body of Christ more fully in Winchester. We hope you’ll join with us.
