Winchester churches are coming together online to pray for the city collectively on Tuesday 2nd February. Prayer for Winchester is a one-off event, to be held on Zoom between 7.30 and 8.30pm.
The event is Churches Together in Winchester’s response to The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, summed up in the phrase ‘abide in my love and you will bear much fruit.’
The church is definitely not closed because the church is not about a building. Christians have been worshiping and praying singly, in families or with others online throughout each lockdown. This event extends that and creates an opportunity to join as one massive Christian community. We will pray for our city, our healthcare and key workers, those suffering and for a better tomorrow here and across the world.
The meeting will be on Zoom and you can get the link from your local city church in Winchester.
