In the lead up to Pentecost, Christians from across Winchester are uniting to ‘Bow Down’ in prayer. As the sun goes down on 19th May, we’ll be praying for the peace and welfare of our city, finishing off by lighting torches or phone lights in a symbolic prayer for Jesus, the light of the world, to reign in Winchester. We’re meeting at nine locations across the city – the Cathedral Close, Oram’s Arbour, Weeke, St Giles’ Hill, Kings Worthy, Stanmore, South Wonston, Oliver’s Battery and St Catherine’s Hill. ‘Bow Down’ is part of ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ – a global prayer initiative.
You are welcome to join which ever meeting suits you best, but please ensure you sign up so we can comply with social distancing rules.
