Winchester hospital chaplaincy embraces Facebook

The hospital chaplaincy team at Hampshire Hospitals has launched its first Facebook page which gives patients and their families direct access to hospital chaplaincy resources from their smartphones and other mobile devices.

Members of the hospital chaplaincy are building the resources found there, uploading links and videos with more diverse materials.

To visit the site, either search Facebook for ‘Chaplaincy Team, HHFT‘ or scan the QR code below on your phone or iPad. The Chaplaincy team would be enormously grateful if you could encourage friends in your own faith communities to do this.  Please give a like, follow and share the page so they can grow this new initiative together.

The Chaplaincy Team is part of a multi-disciplinary group of professionals providing holistic care within the three hospitals of the Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust.

Chaplains offer a compassionate presence supporting patients, families, visitors and staff during times of emotional or spiritual crisis. They are available to offer spiritual, religious and emotional support to all patients, visitors and staff, regardless of faith.

Their goal is to come alongside people as they struggle with illness, injury or their own mortality.

There is a chaplain available for all HHFT sites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
