Prayer and intercession are central to Christian life. So it makes sense to do pray together, with one voice.

The Churches Together Prayer and Intercession group meets monthly. It is coordinated by our prayer champion, Dorothy Nel.

We recognise that churches have different preferred prayer and intercession styles and approaches, just as in worship.  We see these as different expressions of Christ and validate all of them.  Over time, we would love to find ways to integrate many different styles into our meetings together.

We believe God has called us together for a time such as this and that our intercessions will yield fruit in the city and beyond.  Winchester has a rich heritage as both a royal and political centre as well as a Christian one.  In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus says this to his disciples:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always.”
