Who Are We?
Winchester Cathedral has its origins in the 7th century when a Christian church was first built on the site. Since then it has played a fundamental part in the life of this ancient city and a role in the history of our nation.
How Often Do You Need Me?
If you can spare just a few hours a week we would love you to consider joining us. Our 780 volunteers are our lifeblood, working in a huge range of roles to make all who visit feel welcome, whether they are attending a service or need a quiet moment, to admire the stunning building or to take part in a social or cultural activity. Volunteer roles include:
